FishCart®, in use since January 1998, is a proven Open Source e-commerce system for products, services, online payment and online donation management. Written in PHP4, FishCart® has been tested on Windows NT, Linux, and various Unix platforms. FishCart presently supports the MySQL, PostgreSQL, Solid, Oracle and MSSQL.

FishCart v.Q is an add-on module that gives you the tools to exporting FishCart orders into Quickbooks! This is a real boon for small businesses, saving mistakes and hours of tedium rekeying orders.

FishCart v.U is an add-on module that integrates the UPS Online® Shipping Tools into a FishCart v.3 shopping cart. For more information on this and other support services, see FishNet's software site. We have provided a demonstration FishCart to show the operation of FishCart, as well as the real-time operation of the UPS Online® Shipping Tools.

A developers' blog is online! You'll be able to follow what is happening along the intermediate stages of FishCart development, and you can comment on each entry to help keep the developers aware of your thoughts.

Sometimes the question is asked about how FishCart handles very large numbers of products. While the most challenging problem in such a site is organizing products into categories so that they can easily be found, there are also questions about how well the underlying database structures scale as the number of products increases. We have written a test database generator to create a demo site with 200,000 products in it to answer that question. We think it works very well indeed!

A few of the key benefits of FishCart® include multiple parallel catalogs, multiple languages, timed sales, Associate ID tracking, and Web based catalog maintenance. The order output of FishCart® can be adapted to an existing order processing system so in place administrative systems are not impacted. English, Italian, French, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Castillian Spanish and Norwegian are currently included in the FishCart source. If you would like to have another language included in the FishCart distribution, you can now submit translations online of the English language FishCart prompts. We do ask that the translator be a native speaker of the language into which the prompts are being translated! Please be patient while the page is loading, as it can take several seconds.

FishCart® works well in a multihosting ISP environment. Provision is made for multiple simultaneous installations, with separate database tables and order processing systems.
